GB off to flying start as King Power Quad Nations gets underway in Cardiff
Hosts Great Britain kicked off their 2022 King Power Wheelchair Rugby Quad Nations campaign in style, defeating Germany 63 v 45 with an impressive display in the tournament’s opening game at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.
GB’s first half defensive pressure was rewarded as they stretched out an 11-point lead to go into the half-time break 32-21 up. A tight third quarter saw the home side only able to stretch their lead by a single point and the teams went into the last quarter-time break at 47-35. Seven fourth-quarter tries from Stuart Robinson helped the home side increase their advantage to 18 points at the final whistle.
