Canada are champions!

Canada held off Great Britain to become the 2022 King Power Quad Nations champions. An enthralling final needed two periods of overtime to separate the teams, but it was Canada who finally made the necessary breakthrough to ensure their name will be on the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Trophy this year.

Canada enjoyed scoreboard advantage for much of the match and had opportunities to win it in both normal time and the first period of overtime, but Great Britain’s stalwart defending meant the scores stayed level at 45-45 and 49-49 respectively.

Earlier in the day, France took the bronze medal, beating a spirited Germany 50-56 to secure third place after a mixed tournament for the European champions.
